Essex County Council is the administration that governs the rural areas of Essex in England. It was formed in 1889. It is controlled by the Conservative Party right now. Gavin Jones is Chief executive officer of this administration since January 2016. The Council has Youth Assembly, 75 members aged between 11 and 19 who aim to represent all young people in their districts across Essex. The elections to the Young Essex Assembly occur in the respective schools.
